A lobby calling on Southwark Council to stand up for council housing and a strike by thousands of health workers across Southwark are two key protests this month. 12noon. National Student Demonstration - No Fees, No Cuts, No Debt! Assemble at Malet Street at around 12noon and march round Russell Square, down Kingsway to the Strand, and then to Trafalgar Square, Whitehall and ending at Parliament by 4pm. Unions taking part: Unison, Unite, GMB, Royal College of Midwives (RCM), Society of Radiographers (SOR), UCATT, POA, Occupational Therapists (BAOT), Dietetic Association (BDA), and Hospital Consultants and Specialists Association.
