Southwark Action Alert - update                 11 October 2014

Three days of strikes take place next week over cuts in real incomes for millions of public sector workers. Please come along to picket lines to show your support, and come to the huge demonstration planned for next Saturday in London. The campaign to stop the demolition of council homes to be replaced by private housing is gathering pace. Details of how to join these campaigns are shown below.

Saturday 11 October
2pm. A pan-European day of action against the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP). Actions organised by 38 Degrees at 11am at Waterloo Station (outside Smiths).Assemble at Parliament Square at 2pm. More info at http://www.nottip.org.uk/nationaldayofaction/ Facebook page.

Monday 13 October
7am-11am. Solidarity picket line and strikers breakfast at King’s College Hospital, Bessemer Road Entrance on Denmark Hill, SE5 as part of health workers’ four hour strike over pay. Tuesday 14 October
Strike of lecturers in Further education colleges including LSoCo at The Cut SE1 . Go along to the picket line to show your support. Get a flyer with background to the strike here. Wednesday 15 October
