Act Now to Save the Health Service and Our Local JobCentre


This is a critical week for the NHS. The Bill that still threatens the health service comes back to Parliament on Wednesday and the protests taking place are our chance to prevent the Government getting it through. Meanwhile, the huge support for the campaign to stop the closure of Camberwell JobCentre steps up a notch with a big public meeting on 13th. And don't forget to book your coach ticket now for the demonstration on 2nd October outside the Tory Conference -details below.

Tuesday 6 September 9.30 am
“No to evictions” demonstration outside South Western Magistrates court, 176 Lavender Hill, Clapham Junction SW11 1JU (map). Preliminary hearing of a south London resident whose mother stands to be evicted from her council home if he is convicted of involvement in the disturbances last month. Called by Defend Council Housing and supported by local anti-cuts campaigns.
